Obituary for Robert C "Bob" Bain

Dateline Bordentown


Robert C. Bain passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania surrounded by his family. Born in Trenton he was a long time resident of Bordentown before moving to Roebling. Bob enlisted in The United States Army, September of 1973 and was stationed in Germany. He was honorable discharged with the rank of SP4. He was a former member of the Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085 and was a member of the American Legion Post 26. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan and enjoyed fishing , the beach and reading.

Bob was a very giving and spiritual person. A proud member of Trinity United Methodist church of Bordentown, Bob enjoyed spending time with friends in the comfort of church. But his greatest joy in life was his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, caring friend and he will be missed by many.

The son of the late Joyce Bain, he is survived by his beloved wife, Anna M. Bain, his loving son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Heather Frader, grandchildren, Lucas and Maddyson Frader, his brothers and sister-in-law, Leonard Deptula, Kenneth and Cathy Deptula, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and devoted friends.

Celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Tuesday May 21, 2019 11:00 am at the Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. Calling hours will be held Monday evening from 6:00 ~ 9:00 pm and Tuesday morning from 10:00 am until the time of the Service. Burial will follow at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown NJ.
